Providence Meadow Farm

Cottage Farm, Show Worthy

2024 Spring Show Season Begins!

Here We Go…

Halter training continues and the crias are doing great! It is so funny to watch them try to figure it out, but when there are other people around, they act like they’re fully trained. Practice, practice, practice.

Getting them cleaned up is another matter altogether. We try to keep up with the dust roll patches but they always seem to find another one. Oh well, they’re happy in the pastures!

We continue to be so thankful for this farm!
Blessings to all.

We added alpacas to our farm 5 years ago in March 2019…and it’s been a labor of love ever since. We knew that we wanted to learn all about taking care of them and breed with the best males available in order to continuously improve genetics resulting in strong and healthy animals with high quality fleece. We had no idea what an adventure that would be or all of the wonderful people in the alpaca business who would be willing to help us!

Finally in Mid-March, for the first time, we take 4 of our 2023 crias to the National Alpaca show in Fort Wayne Indiana! Although we’ve competed regionally, it was always our goal to have alpacas that could complete at the national level, so please wish us luck!

Thank you to our vets and our fantastic mentor farms for all of the help getting us to this point, we are looking forward to the big show!

More shows to come as we welcome Spring!
